Carole
With over 25 years experience in the horticulture industry (20 of those years as a designer), Carole Detherage is passionate about garden design. Unlike many designers, who view garden design as merely "decorating with plants", Carole takes a much more all-inclusive approach. The garden is an extension of the house, and should be usable and livable on a day-to-day basis. This focus on function makes for gardens that are much more reflective of the client's personality and lifestyle, and that can continue to be enjoyed well after the garden has matured and the plants have reached full size.
Carole is available for on-site design consultations as well as all of our tutoring services, personal shopping services, and house calls.

Jim "Jungle Jim" Rogers has been a Master Horticulturist, designer and nurseryman for over 50 years. In Modesto, Calif, Jim proudly owned the renowned "Scenic Nursery" that won Modesto's Favorite Nursery 10 year in a row in the Modesto Bee Poll!
Helping people turn their yards into gardens is his specialty. Jim is able to bring his lifetime of expertise to your garden. He can help teach you hands-on how to prune your own roses, he can help you take an old disused space and turn it into the outdoor living area of your dreams.
For major undertakings Jim is happy to work with you to create your design and help you choose and work with the right contractor so you can get it installed properly and make sure you get exactly what you want.
